Is desire a crime?
If so, you are complicit in mine.
It was you taught me how to want,
taught me to want things.
A love of things, instead of
intangibles.
Am I a cliche, an empty vessel,
just a woman who needs to be filled?
Am I vacuous?
Hmph. I think not.
It's woman, after all, who populates this earth. Fills it up.
My defense then?
Yes, it is better than stealing.
